Despite the freezing rain and cold, the SPG-HH took part in the European Day of Action for Mumia Abu-Jamal and demonstrated in the Hamburg city centre against the planned state murder of Mumia.

The appalling weather caused the planned speeches to be cancelled, but didn`t stop activists from distributing flyers to the rush-hour crowds in the pedestrian precint informing them about Mumia´s situation. Banners and slogans demanding the release of Mumia and all political prisoners jerked the pre-Xmas shoppers out of their consume day-dreams.
